The Governors of St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about Teaching & Learning.  The position is an ideal opportunity for a Newly Qualified Teacher or an existing class teacher who wishes to develop your career in a supportive and friendly environment.

 

Are you a teacher who:

  • will be willing to support and uphold the Catholic ethos of our school?
  • can clearly demonstrate a passion for learning and support the quality of provision for children in school?
  • inspires the children you teach to work hard and achieve to their very fullest potential?
  • has proven ability at effective classroom management?
  • is confident, approachable and has good communication skills
  • produces high levels of pupil progress within the classes you teach?
     
    Do you have a particular interest or passion for any of the following?
  • Teaching and learning in the Early Years (i.e. Nursery or Reception);
  • Teaching a Modern Foreign Language to Key Stage 2 children;
  • Teaching Music or Physical Education to all children across the primary phase.

    As a school, we work collaboratively with other Catholic schools in the area and with local schools in the Wednesbury Learning Community.  The Governors are supportive of the Archdiocese of Birmingham’s academisation policy, and see the future of St. Mary’s moving forward, retaining its existing strengths and characteristics, but working within a larger multi-academy company to continue to develop and strengthen Catholic education for the pupils.
     
    The school had a successful OFSTED inspection in the summer term of 2015 and was judged to be ‘Good’.
